Consumer Evaluations
Ahead of I go into details, I want to mention that I am pretty pleased with the buy while I rated it as 4-stars.
I have really serious doubts purchasing this 1 given that it has no critiques.
I've installed these in my automobile, connected to media center and use two IR headsets. The system worked wonderful for the past two weeks and we lastly can drive in peace for extended distances.
Build: The quality of the item surprised me. I expected it to be much less - according to the cost. The headrest itself is carried out from leather-like material. It has hice feel and looks fine in the automobile. I have grey interior and black headrests are OK there (it is not truly dark black). The monitor appearance is excellent. Buttons are smaller and function well. The cables and the connectors are OK as well. You even have some filter box on the DC wires and the plug.
Screen: The description states 1400x230 pixels. Nicely. I have no idea what 1400 implies, but the image is fine. The good quality remains fantastic even if you connect both monitors to 1 DVD player thru V-connector. Kids have no troubles with it.
Installation: Not certainly, but really hassle-free.
Some further notes:
1. You can tilt the screen up and down together with the headrest. It is extremely handy to the youngster considering that you can match the height, but I consider that it creates some sort of safety hazard for you due to the fact the headrest does not actually support your head. You can't adjust each: the headrest to guard you and the monitor for handy watching. Plus, you cannot actually repair the headrest to resist auto crash. I personally do not care, but other folks might possibly.
2. The description mentions two AV inputs. This is not entirely accurate. You have the cable in the pole and the AV input at the front. I thought that I can connect two devices thru the pole cables because I don't seriously want something connected to my front panel. I thought to have two media centers connected to both monitor, to let the kids watching similar/several films by just altering AV input. This is impossible mainly because in the pole you have two video inputs but ONLY One particular audio input. You can connect DVD and rear view camera. But who desires rear view camera on the rear seat. This is just stupid design. I gave 4 begin only given that of that.
3. I was not conscious that IR connection does not have any frequencies... As a result, the headsets get signal from each monitors. So basically you cannot broadcast two unique signals if you use IR.
four. Final note is you do not have vehicle adapter. The monitors has two wires (red and black) that you have to connect to the vehicle electrical system or order the adapter your self (extra ten$).
Excellent luck
i bought this headrest monitor set to quiet my youngsters in the back seat.......really clean and clear picture i have it connected to the Pioneer AVH-P4200DVD In-Dash Double-DIN DVD Multimedia AV Receiver i also bought two of the SSL SHP One Pair of Wireless Headphones it works great.......peace in the back seat.
