Buyer Critiques

When I saw the cost I thought this was worth a shot. The price is nicely beneath MSRP. The cause I wanted this unit was it combined iPod control by means of the usb and Sirius. I listen pretty small to CD (surprise!) but wanted the solution just in case. I genuinely didn't have any important difficulties but I would like to have observed a nicer display with even more info displayed. What I didn't know but the installer told me was that it could be connected to my steering wheel volume and station controls. I did this and am rather happy. Extremely good stereo.

The installer place this model in my 4Runner back in April, 2011. The satellite function has been spotty to nonexistant since then. The radio would operate for weeks then fall into the "Loading" mode, the Serius reps said that it was a radio predicament, not a station difficulty. I went back to the staller, they looked at it twice, got it going and mentioned that this model required software program updates to perform properly. Now, just after 7 months, I brought the auto in and demanded that they just alter it out--this wait for the update was ridiculous. Following three hours in the waiting space, the installer told me that they replaced the old radio with a new a single of the same make, then found that it was created in April, and didn't have the update, either. They downloaded the update, it functions, but for how long? Keep moving if satellite radio is a aim. Why is it ok that Clarion advertise this as Satellite prepared, when actually, it really is NOT?
Great luck, Kat
