Customer Evaluations
Pro's
Fit perfectly in my 2003 Kia Optima with the included trim plate. Bought the Metra kits for the mounting brackets and a cable adapter. I liked this model given that the major manage I use is the volume. The screen also has a mute button next to the volume control.
Con's
No display dimmer connection. Depending on the screen, it is very bright at night.
No separate manage wires for antenna and amplifier turn-on. The electric antenna is up whenever the unit is on. My old unit would raise the antenna only in the radio mode.
I bought one of these and it is my third Boss in dash DVD stereo, and let me warn you, it SUCKS! This specific unit has awful sound high quality, it sounds like you are listening to headphones turned up all of the way, and I have infinity Kappa's all around and I've utilised head units that make them sound extraordinary.
This does do iPod interface but it looks like it was made by a third grader in MS Paint. When I hooked up my iPod by means of the cable, it squealed and hissed and sounds like death.
Remain away from this model in specific and quite possibly just Boss all together. You can get a refurbished Sony for just a little additional, which is specifically what I did, and I couldn't be happier.
Pros:
Comes with iPod cable
Has a volume knob
Cons:
Almost everything else
