Buyer Reviews
We continually use an Ipod when we are on the boat, so this sounded wonderful! Installation was painless, I have two amps and this has pre amp outputs for front, rear and sub woofer so I just had to plug them in. Outstanding sound, does not have any distinct sound characteristics, just bass and treble adjustments along with bass boost if you have a sub woofer, but it sounds wonderful. When you put your Ipod inside, which is pretty painless, it is secure so you do not have to worry about it receiving wet or bouncing all over you dash. It also charges when it is docked inside. Will not support the Iphone, but I have had just about every single Ipod docked in it and they all worked. The "touch pad" controls are not as sensitive or rapid as you would feel, sometime you have to touch them a handful of time to get it to function. The wireless remote is fantastic. My stereo is mounted at an angle (2001 Ski Centurion)and if you are sitting down in the back set you want to hold the remote up high to function, not a significant deal. The only true negative issue that I have with the stereo is that if you obtain a particular song, playlist or whatever it is time consuming and you will will need the directions till you have completed it a couple of time. The outstanding issue is though, it has an aux input so you can generally plug yet another Ipod in that way.
Boss has out performed themselves with this unit This unit compared to other models is less costly and simple and easy to install. It functions with practically just about every ipod, except Generation 1 and two. But my Ipod touch sounds fantastic though docked inside safely. It was fairly effortless to install and the 80 Watts x 4 tends to make any speaker sound superior than before. I like the transfer feature that permits you to transfer music from a SD card to Your media device. Extremely recommended for any boater searching for an exceptional stereo for there Boat.
